To reach the point or stage where one is/ likes, etc

Hair-restorer = a preparation that is claimed to restore hair to a bald head

 

Hair = (singular only) all the thread-like growths on the skin of animals, esp. on the human head: thread-like growths on the stems and leaves of some plants

 

She brushes her hair at least once a day.

She found some hairs on that coat.

 

 

Translate the following sentences into English, using to grow whenever possible:

1.         Cât de înaltă a crescut Jane!

2.         De n-as fi atât de ocupata, mi-ar placea sa cultiv flori.

3.         Vremea s-a mai indreptat in ultimele zile, așa încât o sa pot pleca la munte.

4.         În Texas se cresc multe vite.

5.         Am ajuns sa il detest pe Oliver fiindca este fățarnic si mincinos si il evit pe cât posibil.

6.         Nu pot sa nu mă intristez cand il vad cum chelește.

7.         Unele plante nu cresc in soluri nisipoase.

8.         Deși la început nu ne-am prea înțeles, până la urmă am ajuns sa fim prieteni apropiați.

 

 

            Translate the following sentences into English, using hair whenever possible

1.     Roy ar trebui sa se tundă.

2.     Nu mi-a placut niciodata omul acela deoarece are obiceiul sa despice firul in patru.

3.     Unele plante au frunzele acoperite de par scurt.

4.     Nici lui Paul nu îi plac fetele cu parul rosu.

5.     Sotia lui Tom, care era o femeie bruneta, descoperi doua fire de par blond pe reverul hainei soțului ei.

6.     Romanul polițist pe care l-am citit azi- noapte mi-a făcut parul măciucă la un moment dat.

7.     Nu-l mai zădărî! Nu vezi cât de supărat este?

8.     Părul Anei era încă negru, dar ici si colo se puteau observa fire de păr cărunt.
